Generator Updates

So, over the last few days, I’ve done some code hacking on the generators. They now support multiple images in a sprite, and have been streamlined a bit more. Unfortunately, this broke a few images. I’ve fixed the ones I can. Also, I’ve been adding more sprites for both generators. The new multi-image system makes things like tanks with adjustable turrets possible, but it’s a ton more work to build those sprites. Oh well.

Something that’s been tossed around – making a MUGEN clone for shmups. It’s a nice idea, but man, just thinking about that makes my brain hurt. Just trying to work out a bullet pattern maker has been breaking my head. Maybe I’ll look into MultiMedia Fusion.

    I just discovered this excellent site and I want to thank you for your hardwork with the generator (I’m using it for creating my forum signatures!) and the excellent layout :) You just need some collaborators and this could be a reference for new shmup blogs!

    MUGEN clone for shmups, isn’t it what Fraxy, Danmafuku and the Cannon Macro Language Workbench already are ? Well, something a mix of fraxy the editor and the CML scripting language might be interesting.

    there’s a few mugen projects that involve shmuppy stuff. infact one of the earliest mugen projects was itself a shmup. I have no idea as to how it was done unfortunately though.

    HOWEVER.

    there is a VS shmup like the ones by G-Rev in a mugen enviroment called Babel Sword; it’s worth a play definitely, it’s very well done. here’s a vid of gameplay for Babel Sword;
